Workplace Readiness

Getting a job requires more than just knowing how to do the job.  It also requires knowing how to get the job, including writing a great resume, or filling out a job application, and having good interviewing skills.  Further, employers are looking for people with good “soft skills” such as customer service, and work-ethic.   This course will help you learn to be more professional and present yourself more professionally so you can get the job you want.

Accounting Basics with QuickBooks

Learn the basics of accounting using the Intuit QuickBooks package.  QuickBooks is the leading software package for small and mid-size businesses, which many want-ads request skills in.

  • Prerequisites: Typing 20 WPM

Windows, Internet & Security

This introductory class will help a student learn the basics of Microsoft Windows, including file management, the Internet, including Web Browsing and Email, and basic computer security to help keep you, your finances, and your kids safe.  This class, or equivalent knowledge is a prerequisite to all Microsoft Office courses.

Software applications included in the Office Technician program may be taken individually for those who only need specific skills.
