Open Governance
What is Open Governance?Open Governance is a two directional philosophy held by Twin Rivers Adult School, in which we:
Open Governance does not mean we are run by consensus or even fully democratically, but we will utilize the democratic process as much as possible where it benefits the mission of our organization. In addition to stakeholder dialogue we use professional development, research analysis, and action research to assist in our decision making process at all levels of our organization. How to Get InvolvedOpen Governance can only work if there is active participation from our stakeholders. As such, Twin Rivers Adult School actively works to gain involvement from students, staff, employers, Open Governance can only work if there is active participation from our stakeholders. As such, Twin Rivers Adult School actively works to gain involvement from students, staff, employers, general community members, and anyone else who has a stake in the actions of our organization. We work diligently to share key (non-private) information in an open manner to anyone interested, and then gather feedback from our stakeholders so that we can be continually improving. If you would like to get involved, look at the various action teams and committees that we have. Each has a different focus on areas in which we can improve, and all are open to all stakeholders.
