CTE Admission Policies
General Admissions Requirements
All students joining Twin Rivers Adult School
- must be 18 years of age or older
- must have met all prerequisite requirements for courses being enrolled in
- must have paid all fees, and be in good financial standing with Twin Rivers Adult School
Admission Policy for Full Career and Technical Education Programs
Students admitted to any program that is 300 Hours in length or longer, which leads to a certificate must have graduated from high school or have the equivalence of a high school diploma (such as the GED), or can demonstrate the ability to benefit from the program by passing a Department of Education approved Ability to Benefit test. Students admitted upon an "Ability to Benefit" must also receive academic and career advising. Programs of this length are potentially eligible for Federal Financial Aid, and thus must comply with WASC Postsecondary Requirements.
Admission Policy for Independent Short-Term Career and Technical Education Classes
All students who meet the general admissions requirements may enroll in an independent short term Career and Technical Education Class, such as forklift operation.
Other Admission Requirements
Individual Twin Rivers Adult School programs may have additional admission requirements based upon the needs of the program, and the rules and regulations which govern that program. These requirements, along with prerequisite requirements, are listed with the individual programs.
