ESL Career Training

Twin Rivers Adult School now offers ESL programs that allow ESL students to transition into Career and Technical Education programs and the U.S. job market.  These programs include both basic industry terminology and accent reduction. Students must be at the Beginning High level of ESL to participate, and attend a regular CTE orientation.

Career Programs with ESL

The following programs have 18 weeks of intensive ESL included before joining their mainstream counterpart:

  • ESL Office Technician Program
  • ESL Certified Nurse Assistant with LVN Prep Program
  • ESL Medical Billing & Coding Program
  • ESL Pharmacy Technician Program
  • Enhanced Truck Driving (ESL Variant)

Career Terminology for ESL Students

18 Weeks, 5 Days a Week, Beginning High Students

These Vocational ESL (VESL) courses prepare students from foreign countries to  understand the basic terminology of their chosen career to enter the job market, or enter into a career specific training program:

  • Business/Technology Basic Terminology
  • ESL for Industry
  • Health Care Careers Basic Terminology
